Just want to let you TIENNO babes and hunks know that, it was awesome to have spent 3 whole days of orientation with you guys! GREAT JOB GUYS. We had the time of our lives, hope you guys did as well! THANKS, for your smiles and laughter! THANKS for keeping up with the ogls’ ‘high-ness’ and lesson about drug abuse! THANKS for your cheering and being ever so enthusiastic especially on the last day! (Be it doing V for Vivian aaaaw, or proclaiming your love for our queen HAHA) TIENNO is small but we have a HUGE SPIRIT. And it was you guys who built that. YEAHHH! We’re very very very very very VERY proud of TIENNO!!!! These memories and inside jokes will always stay close to our hearts! All these friendships forged will be to stay :] Eh, must say HELLO to us whenever you see us around in school! MUST AH. Hope that us ogls have done all that we could to welcome you into our saints family!

HEY ALL YOU NEW SAINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is Matheus blogging here... Yes, the only guy blogger here. And don't look at my display pic - it's HIDEOUS.

Well. Back to the point.

Today was Day One of your Orientation!!!

Hope you all had fun!

Anyway, pictures for this day will be out at a later date, but rest assured that they WILL come out!!!

So try to remember your Mass Dance (we're going to do a HUGE one on Finale night, and it'll be so AWESOME!) and your cheers (seriously, you'll all look totally un-glam if you're called on to say some cheers and everyone holds the paper up!) and we have more fun things planned for you for tomorrow!!!

Hope all of you got home safely and were able to find the best route home from school!!!

Over this period of time, don't forget to try ALL the food stalls in the Caf, yeah?

Oh, and remember to bring your forms for tomorrow.

That should be all, so J1s, prepare yourselves for another time of good fun tomorrow!!!

since now all of you are sure of how to get into SAJC, you should be prepared for the fun and exciting orientation WE [the OGLs] have planned for you!!! :D:D:D

How-to-get-to-SAJC guide

How do I get to SAJC?

HEY ALL YOU SAINTS/ J1s!

If you decide to arrive at SA's doorstep by car, or even helicopter, please ignore this.

Otherwise, this How-to-get-to-SAJC guide is for YOU! (;

Reminder: This list is NOT exhaustive. They are just some suggestions for you to explore!

MRT

If you haven't already known or heard, we are located at Potong Pasir!!
COOL place, really! lol.
The buses that are available at the Mrt Station are:
13, 107, 133, 142, 147, 853.

and if you come from the Station,
you will probably enter by the Side gate, which is a rather interesting turnstile.

An alternative! would be to take a train to the air-conditioned Toa Payoh interchange and from there you can choose to take buses 142, 26, 31, 8 or 90! Five buses in all!

and now the problem of alighting!

Bus 142 takes you all the way to our Main gate!

yessss, you can't possibly miss this stop unless you have tendencies to fall asleep on bus journeys! heh.

and this following part is tricky..
Buses 26, 31, 8, 90 only take you to the St. Andrew's School Bus-stop. in short, the SAS Bus-stop. It is along the highway, at the Diocese of Singapore.

The trick, is to press the bell IMMEDIATELY once you see our beautiful, spanking campus!
Alighting after that can't be difficult for you. ;)

As you can see for yourself, the buses available at this stop are namely,
SBS Transit: 142, 8, 90, 26, 31, 154, 151
SMRT: 857, 966, 985

*Apart from Toa Payoh interchange, you may board these buses from elsewhere. (haha, yes. like duh?! okayyy fine.)

Now for the fun part! Alighting here, you get to take a breathtaking stroll through our St. Andrew's Village!
These are the landmarks you need to look out for all the way to the JC side! They are in chronological order( sequence you will see them from the bus-stop).

1) look out for this banner!

2) the unmistakable 'slope'! It gets muddy on rainy days.

3) uhhhh.. this door is just not your average door.

4)..you can wave to our friendly security guards!

5) Chapel of the Resurrection! Diocese of Singapore!

6)Church of the Ascension!

7) The colourful.. Ascension kindergarten! The kids are soooo cute! (:

Right beside the Kindergarten is.. the St. Andrew's School(SAS) gate! Do NOT walk right in! and do NOT even attempt, unless you belong to the Secondary side!

8) Confusing as it seems, continue to walk and you'll see the SAS canteen!
Fret not, it is actually not a tad confusing.

we ( the JC students) are actually allowed to lunch here, after 12.45pm! what a wide variety of food we get, right! :D

9) St. Andrew's Junior School!

10)..and onto our very own St. Andrew's Bridge that links the JC to the Junior and Secondary School side! It overlooks part of the Kallang River and is a picturesque sight to behold, especially in the evening!!

Thereafter, WELCOME TO SAJC!

It's SAINTsational!

Hey guys! Unless you've been living under a rock, last Sat was SA's very own Open House!

A collective effort amongst all Saints to let all of YOU know more about our school!

The Open House started at 10am, but many Councillors and CCA members were here really REALLY early.

Decorating the caf (it's THE caf! SA lingo!), stairways and practically EVERYWHERE with balloons and cute&colourful signboards!

Soon, 10am came along and the school started buzzing with activity!
Parents and kids signing up for guided tours, you guys previewing the various booths (collecting the freebies!!), watching the mass dance, watching the various CCA performances etc.

If you guys walked near the GO, you could have seen our LIFE SIZED MASCOT!

Even the seniors from the 29th Student Council couldnt resist. :)

Anyways, coming to SA's Open House, it's a definite thing for you to collect our SIGNATURE SHOEBAGS.
(if you didnt collect it.. shame on you!)

Open House Prep- Day 2!

Hey Hey!!! It's one more day to the Open House and I'm here to show you the stuff from today's Open House preparation!!

Busy making our signboards... Look out for the sajcorientation.blogspot adverts around school tomorrow!!!

Yes. We are trying to get our point across- sajcorientation.blogspot.com!

Ernica and Jue Ying busy making signs for the GOODIE BAG COLLECTIONS!!!!

Approximately 1-2 hours later.... the signs are done!! Be sure to know where this place is (the Student Centre) because it has the goodie bags and if you actually become a Saint, you will visit this place often enough to play monopoly or taboo...

Check out our matching pipes!! haha.....see if you can find out which toilet this sign is in! (although, I have to say, I don't see pipes anywhere...)

Having random signs in toilets are really quite fun...

They have something to tell you!! And you have lots of things to check out when you come tomorrow! (from matching pipes to lecture[rs]) WHOO HOO!!

Introducing.... Jonadeb of the SFC!! (Saints For Christ)...Although he looks like he is dreaming or something, he was actually watching the councillors from the previous photo putting up the signboards and making a fool of themselves in the process.

And we see the ODAC-ians again! This time, they are preparing for the Open House..not lifting pails with their legs.

WHOO HOO!! MASS DANCE!!! Mass Dance is FUN!!
